VMPS RM30 Mini-assessment

I've been listening all week to the demo pair of RM30Cs that Brian Cheney sent me. I've been wrestling with how to write a review on these, as I want to sound credible and not over the top (or like a shill), but dammit, THIS IS THE BEST SOUND I'VE EVER HEARD IN MY HOME IN 38 YEARS IN THIS HOBBY, and right up there with the best I've heard anywhere, anytime, at any price. My non-audiophile wife agrees with this opinion as well.
So there it is. They have the transparency, resolution, focus and dynamics of my dearly departed Apogee Diva FR ribbons, the perfect balance, integration and smoothness of my Thiel 3.6s, the wide sweetspot of my old Ohm Walsh 5s, cabinetry that is nicer and with a higher WAF than any of them, and at a far lower price than any conceivable competitor that I know about.
Will others feel the same about them? Truthfully, I don't know or care, but I'm not one who believes that any speaker or sonic signature can be all things to all people. A such I'm sure some, perhaps many, will probably dislike them, and I'm certainly cool with that. There is no arguing with taste.
I do know this: I ordered a pair in piano rosewood (just like in the picture), outboard xover, Auricaps and a couple of other tweaks as fast as I could shovel the money out the door. My wife, who is a bit of a tightwad, required no convincing.
After I get that pair, and break them and adjusted in I will write a full review. These have a lot of features that are well worth bringing to people's attention.

The pair on hand: RM30C, outboard xover, stock caps, CD waveguide.
