Insignia's (first impressions)

Being curious about all the hype, i stopped into Best Buy yesterday to look at the Insignia's. Taking the grill off & looking at the baffle & driver i was impressed. Listening to what best buy calls music i was not, but decided to puchase them on the basis that i could return them if unhappy. When giving them the old "knuckle rap test" they sound pretty hollow, "surpisingly about the same as my B&W DM601's" BUT the B&W's have a lot more foam/dampening material. Alot of vibration can be felt when i put my hand against them at moderate volumes. Right out of the box they sounded pretty good, except the highs & lows seemed to be truncated & lacking extention. After about 17hrs they seem to be opening up. Imaging & soundstage are quite good & they do a good job of disapearing as well, but what i really like about them is that they are totally un-fatiguing (& this in a small room with a Jolida JD1501). Now a couple of questions: I plan on doing some upgrades,& was wondering what the water putty treatment alone (with some better dampening) would acomplish? Also instead of the GR Research upgrades i would like to just replace the capacitors with better ones & am looking for recomendations on what type's to look for. Tom
