Nautilus 801 owners please help

I've had my N801's for about 2 years and have slowly got them working better wich includes equipment upgrades and extensive acoustic treatment in my 17x20x7.8 foot room but still have a big issue with them. Music with a lot of strong energy(loud guitar, keyboards,loud vocals, or just a lot of instuments playing together) that images between the two speakers loses soundstage focus due to congestion and becomes harsh and intense and this makes listening difficult. The absolute sound said that the smallest change in speaker positioning will make a big difference but I think I've tried every square inch of floor space.
I'm learning etf acoustic software to see if the room is still a problem.

I'm hoping that there are some N801 owners out there that have experienced this problem and have corrected it..
