Re: computer programs for Xover design

Any computer program is only going to be as good as the information fed into it. LEAP, CALSOD, LMS, and some freeware programs like those from FRD Consortium and Speaker Workshop will all do a fine job in assisting in crossover design. But, you have to feed them acurate SPL and impedance measurements, know when the phase is right, select the proper crossover points and slope, apply BDS in just the right amount, select drivers that are compatible with each other, and so forth. In other words, you just don't plug in a couple of numbers, push "enter" and get a superlative crossover. If it was that easy, we'd all be able to do it.
