Re: Paper in oil caps for crossovers

I went from Solen to Jensen in some DIY speakers I owned a while back. Good caps, a definite improvement (if minor overall) over the Solens (which are IMO also damn good for the money). Parts Express (link on the home page of audio asylum) carries them. Jensen make a type just for speaker x'overs. Since you have questions I'd just call them up with your application. Make sure to ask them to match a pair as close as possible as well - very important. Parts Express probably also carries Audio Note speaker oil caps, though they're rather expensive. Another to consider (if pockets are deep enough) are Mundorf Supreme paper-in-oil, which are probably the best out there -- of any speaker caps. Just remember than any paper-in-oil cap will be much bigger than a poly cap of identical value.
