I dont know if you disconnected the APOC circuit in your old ones but in case you didnt, it makes a world of difference as first attested to me by B&W techs in England who admitted that the APOC circuitry degraded the sound and disconnecting it (very easy to do) was VERY worthwhile which was an understatement: transient accuracy and speed and overall dynamics and clarity of sound are vastly improved. A substantial part of the crossover components is devoted to the APOC and it filters the life out of the speakers. Without it they become different speakers - for the better!
