Hello,I usually listen music at 95dBA SPL (On my position) (I listen classical, folk, jazz and rock), with peaks over 105dB SPL (Very strong pressure), I use a small 30W tube amplifier, 88dB 1W/m speakers at 3m of distance, for me is enough level. 88dB 1W/m speakers with 30W amp, this is equal to 85dB 1W/m speakers with 60W (If you doubles the Watts you get 3dB more).
The diference between 60W to 120W is only 3dB (A point on the volume control), 120W to 240W is another 3dB, from 60W to 240 watt you only get 6dB more.
I believe that 250W is an excess for a 6 inch woofer.
You tried with a good sub?.
Regards
