Using a Portal Audio Panache 100watts 8ohm and doubles at 4 ohms
Your description gives me a good idea and I have been considering the 72se...still can't get over the smoothness and wonderful detail of the 52se. I found the 52se to be a bit one dimential however, in the sence that although they had an extended wide soundstage the image was like a flat screen of sound that did not provide much depth. I only had the 52se's for a short while and sure they were not fully broken in, could be why the flat soundstage..
In S.F. they have a dealer who has the 72se on display, just may have to take the trip! Make a day of it.
