for the R645

Recently sold Magnepan Mg3's for tube friendly {91 db efc.} for the R645's.These speakers work very well with 30 W/P/C tube amp. They offer exceptional image depth and sound stage. They are also more room friendly, being monopoles. The construction quality is exceptional.{over 100 lbs. each} The dual Scan Speak 6 1/2 mid woofers are tight and quick, a great match for the 45" ribbon tweeters. The integration between the drivers is seemless. The treble performance is smooth offering no long term listener fatigue . The Scan Speak drivers are the same used in 10k {+}Wilson and Pro-Ac speekers. I found the price-performance ratio of the R645's crushed the previous mentioned speakers which I auditioned also. The R645's offer a tall image like the Magnepans, but offer bettet image and sounstage depth.

Product Weakness: w.a.f.
Product Strengths: Image and sound stage. high ef, {91db}, ease of set up.
