The reccomendations for REL and Vandersteen are good ones if you want a new product. If you're willing to look at a used unit, the MUSE 18 is one of the best subs for music at any price - used they run about $1500 to $1900 depending on finish. The down side is they are 25" square - the up side is they have a fine furiture finish and look more like an end table than a subwoofer (unlike either the REL or Vandy). Good Luck!
