A friend of mine just replaced his Martin Login Prodigys with this speaker. He had done a few mods on the Martin Logins so they were better than stock (he finds the Gallos more real sounding, less electronic and less veiled.....what an electrostat veiled? he he). He is now getting 2 more pairs of these $2600 amazing thangs. I believe there will be a display in surround sound at the show this weekend in NY? and check out the review on 6moons.com. With all the money you save, you can buy a better front end, amps, whatever. My sense is that this speaker is going to be a classic. Check it out.
