Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

One bad sales guy does not a bad dealer make.

Good sales people canbe hard to find in this industry. There appears to be no logic in why he would refuse your wish to play your own CDs.
You may find another guy there who is very helpful. At the same time you can piss off that guy by buying fom his colleague.

If you were there with a genuine intention of actually giving them your business upon finding a product you want in your system, you were treated very badly indeed. If however you were only there to audition something you wish to buy elsewhere (the 'net for example) then you can't complain.
According to your words there was no evidence of this with your visit to the store.

I used to work in an audio store where when we were visited by 'black listed' people (those who only ever completely wasted our time then came back later to gas on about how they got it for less online, expecting us to be amazed/annoyed by this no doubt) we didn't give them the time of day.

Audiophiles would be pretty frustrated if they didn't have a local specialist. Keep buying from your specialist (so long as there is someone there you actually like - nearly every store has at least one dingbat working there) and you will probably still have one.
