Re: These worked for me....

FYI, my traps are a little different from the recipe in the link that I gave you. I used the 2" thick insulation instead of the suggested 1".

I ended up with 4 corner traps. Two 12" and two 10"(both inside diameters). The 10" traps are stacked on top of the 12" traps and placed in the corners behind the system. The project cost me about $170 CDN and an afternoon of work. Well worth it.

I tried EVERYTHING before this tweak to tame the bass in the Goldi's. I stuffed the ports with Dacron (helped but changed the overall sound to much), I put them on top of patio stones (same results), hockey pucks, moved them ALL OVER the room, hung egg crate foam in the corners. None of these previous tweaks worked well enough to keep for any period of time. These traps worked very well. Highly recommended that you give them a try.

To see my room BEFORE the traps, go to the link below. I will be borrowing a digital camera again soon and will post pics of the new room layout. Added some new stuff since taking the pic below. Audio Aero Capitole MKII CDP, Nirvana SL interconnects and Lovan racks.

Sounds pretty darn good now. Most recent improvement/bonus (thanks to the new interconects and CDP) is I was able to move the speakers much closer to side walls, which gives a better soundstage and the bass is still pretty good.
