HUGE upgrade. The CHT10 was the sub I went out to buy after reading all the audioreview reviews, but it's boomy and muddy by comparision to the SPL or HGS line from Velodyne. I went home with the SPL1000 for a little more than twice the price.The SPLs are much, much tighter and less boomy. A lot smaller and more compact, too. The drivers have a LOT more excursion capabilities on the SPL series.
