Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Is it necessary to re-torque driver mounting screws?

64.12.96.10

After a few years of use that is. I've done this to other speakers I've owned but they all had grills that were easily removable.

The current speakers in question are Hales Revelation Three's. If your familiar, you know that the grills are not easily removed/replaced.

If I can determine that they could benefit from this effort I'm willing to go through with it. Otherwise, I'd rather spend that time listening.

My experience with mechanical devices is that they all vibrate (that being a speakers purpose) and everything needs re-torqueing eventually. Maybe I've just answered my own question...

Thanks for Your input.
Brian
