I would hazard a guess that most North American speakers (and stands) go with 1/4-20 inserts. My Vandersteens, PSBs and Energys (and every other NA speaker or stand I've owned with inserts) use this size/thread count. I wish they would raise the bar to 1/4-28 or, better yet, 5/16-24 (better stability, less slop).Ben
