True about the sensitivity. The will work with 50 a channel and play very full but 100 a side is a good place to be with them in a medium sized room...say 16X22.It boils down to how much SPL you require in your room to be satisfyed. I use around a peak of 10 watts when listening to them but I also feel a loudspeaker system of this calibre should be used with almost unlimited wattage. The manufacturer suggests 750 a side as a max rating. It is nice to have large power on tap to "see what they can do" but only someone with a super large room and seriously powerful SPL requirements would need more than 150 a side IMHO. These are not my only loudspeakers but they are at the top of the food chain. Email me and if you are in my area, I would be delighted to have you over for a listen. I am not affiliated with the manufacturer....but the more I listen to them, the more I would "like to" be affiliated with them. Tons of homework have gone into this design. Their weight and build quality is somewhat of a shock the first time you uncrate them. Needless to say, I am quite impressed. Amongst the best I have heard in the under 10K arena.
