Just cut the wires right at the terminal. Strip about a 1/4" of the insulation and solder the wires to the new woofers you are puting in. The terminal posts on your new woofers should be marked + and - so if the wires are not red and black make sure you mark which one is + or - befor you cut them off the old woofers. Also use a good silver solder to do the job right. This is a better alternative to solderless crimp connectors.
