I'd beg to differ. I have a pair of Atacama Nexus stands for my rear speakers, and while okay, they are not overly rigid or inert. Plus only one of the three columns can be filled. The speaker stand to get in your price range is the osiris speakers stands (available on audiogon), i have them on my main speakers and they are excellent. Only downside is that shipping is expensive since they are heavy and one piece, i.e. not assembled at your house.Abraham
