Did you add adjustments for the inaccurancy of the meter? I assume you are talking about the Radio Shack SPL. I know what you have done. By retuning you have created a hump which appears to give more bass output. Nothing wrong with that as long as you like it. Try adding the adjustments I have below and see if you don't have a hump in your response.
