That Bakersfield sound

Got this Yoakam CD (dwightyoakamacoustic.net) from his web site. Reminds me of others who originated or were captured by that Bakersfield sound (Buck Owens for one). This CD has various sound qualities but has a bunch of great acoustic material by DY who I consider to be an authentic dude and a damn great singer. Others in this vein include the suepr great Herb Pedersen/Chris Hillman disc-Bakersfield Bound.
Anyone else like this or that has suggestions--I'm all ears.
