He's a movie reviewer, not a rock critic. And not only that, he did call it as he saw it, and as many others see the Stones now too. He just remembered to give them their props too.
Write a review like yours? Insult one of the worlds greatest acts based on looks and age and completely ignore the amazing talent and physical dexterity it takes to put on a show like that at their age? It might not be occupational suicide, but it would make him look more like a cheap tabloid journalist.
