I have a 3 DVD set of the festival and it captures the moment like few other recordings.
THe clothes, the drugs, Brian Jones, did I mention the clothes?, the sex... almost... and of course the music.
The bands in their early almost pure form.
The set includes a full DVD of outtakes and a 3rd disc containing the complete sets by Hendrix and Otis Redding.
I have lent it to people as young as 30 and they uniformly found it huge fun... I mean the music, not the laughing at some inane comments and strange dress sense... I think.
