Camel- Moonmadness or Mirage are the best albums from the earlier period of this band. They rock more than the Snow Goose (which many think is their best, but not me) The new one- Rajaz is very good too. Mellower and more mature.Marillion- Misplaced Childhood is where to go for this band. They had reached their highest quality writng by then and hadn't yet succumbed to the drink and drugs. After Fish left, the band nosedived (but not as bad as Fish's carrer / quality did) but the best of the Hogarth era stuff has to be "Afraid of Sunlight", the desert / vampire concept album.
Lightbulb sun is more acoustic than SD. Hope you like it as much. I think the writing is better.
