Thank you very much for bringing up The Style Council, whom the American media generally have never played.

I want to say it was the start of 8th grade (September 1984), when I was over at a friend's/classmate's/teammate's home near Park Presidio. There, we saw the video for "My Ever Changing Moods." The song was just more jazzy and sophisticated than most pop.

I occasionally play it, and my son has always liked it.

I *think* that "You're The Best Thing" came out after "My Ever Changing Moods." But who cares? We like 'em both.
