He's right line with the the age of group of amazing guitar players-Freddie Green,Jim Hall,Barney Kessel...if , they were alive when that video was made.
He probably was listening to that cut when he was a kid on the family RCA tube radio.
An example of,spending time in the woodshed, along with talent.
That was a take of "Caravan" an Ellington standard.I've watched that video many times before just listening to his chops. That kind of playing is inspired by the master Jazz guys pre WWII.
The dopey sales guy likely didn't have a clue what he was playing. Used to massive 3 chord distortion and other device boxes!
