However, I'll take a stab at it. The caveat is that rock bands should never be larger than a quintet or maybe a sextet if the singer doesn't play an instrument.
Drums: Levon Helm (honorable mentions for Charlie Watts, Keith Moon, Al Jackson Jr., Roger Hawkins and Cindy Blackman)
Bass: maybe John Entwistle (honorable mentions Jamaaladeen Tacuma, Rick Danko, Jack Casady, Paul McCartney and Jack Bruce)
Lead guitar: Peter Green circa '68 - '70 (honorable mentions Amos Garrett, James Burton, Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, Danny Gatton and Steve Cropper)
Rhythm guitar: Keith Richards (honorable mention Jimmy Johnson)
Singer depends on the material: Levon Helm, Steve Marriott, Van Morrison, Eric Burdon, and Grace Slick definitely and possibly Lennon & McCartney, Steve Winwood and Frankie Miller. There are a huge number of brilliant R&B and gospel singers but I'm limiting the list to rock singers.
Keyboards: Garth Hudson, Ian Mclagan, Chris Stainton
Utility players: Richard Manuel, Steve Winwood
