Born in the U.S.A. suffered major over-exposure, so the followup was bound to be a let down, and Tunnel of Love certainly lived down to expectations. That said, Tom Joad may have been too dark, and Bruce too long out of the upper chart eschelons to register outside of NPR circles, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a great album.

Saw him on the reunion concert with the E-Street band, it was a great show, though abbreviated by classic standards. Venues simply will not allow acts to play past set times anymore, which really sucks.
