I tried a couple of the Vertigo issues and agree that they are the best I've heard, and though Masters of Reality and Paranoid are my favorite Sabbath I would also recommend Vol.4, Sabotage and Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath over the first Black Sabbath LP (which is very good and recommended also). Some people don't like the Castle reissues - I thought they were pretty good and the prices were right, but I would hold out for the Vertigo stuff but it'll probably cost more than a new Castle reissue.
