I've been hunting for a blazing rendition of the Caprices and I chanced upon some samples of Michael Rabin.There seeme to be two EMI releases - a 1993 and a 2001 one, both different covers. I heard somewhere there's a sonic difference between the two and he preferred the 1993 version. Anyone with any comments on this?
Also, Other than Perlman, Accardo, Mintz, even Alexander Markov. any other recs? I also heard Midori did well too...
Sorry for asking for so many recs in the recent times. The shops are in a lean spell and I gotta buy almost 'blind' through order..
