You should try to find this cd recorded in Hong Kong, titled $8,000,000 Timbre from TIS (Tropical Island Studio?). It is a purist recording of chinese classic (and modern) songs, played with the use of golden age western instruments, specifically the famous Stradivari, Guarneri, Rogeri, Guadagnini, etc violins (the total cost of which sums up to about $8,000,000) with a Bosendorfer piano and acoustic double bass.
Its one of those rare things: audiophile grade recordings that really sound like music.
