Threw on some Dizzy Gillespie this morning. What a shambles the CD catalog is for his works. The best that I've been able to do to get some well-filled, decent sounding CDs to represent his superb artistry is the 2-CD set "Complete RCA Recordings" and 3-CD set "Dizzy's Diamonds -- Best of Verve".I read here and there vague mutterings about Verve getting it together to issue some kind of comprehensive, remastered set. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
