Well, it appears that the best example I own of Marty Ehrlich's bass clarinet playing is "The Welcome" which I own on LP on the Sound Aspects label. I don't know if it's been reissued on CD. I think the vinyl is still available from www.cadencebuilding.com though. Ehrlich is still putting out great discs such as "Relativity" with Michael Formanek and Peter Erskine but no bass clarinet on it.One thing is for certain that I reconfirmed as I searched for great bass clarinet discs: Dolphy is still the king with Murray as his disciple. There's been none better to my knowledge.
