Totally agree. Seen the fact Gergiev is such a fan of Furtwangler, why not the conductor's pianoconcerto? Damn, I only have it with Fischer under Furtwangler himself, but a nice modern recording by a fan would have been an easy no thoughts recquired purchase and why a recording with Arcadi Volodos? Last year the pianist performed Scriabin's 'Reverie' and 'Prelude for orchestra' in Rotterdam, why didn't Philips record those concerts with the band under Gergiev - an excellent Beethoven 5th symphony was coupled with this program....It would have been war without the horses:-)
