Dunno about cold feet but there is a clear mismatch between a label that is perceived as budget and a medium that is currently perceived as high end. Rightly or wrongly. So no surprise. Not that I think hi-rez itself is (was) necessarily the main problem with Classics Online. Limited repertoire was likely the major reason for its demise. As for the other media? Minority interest. Even the majors have largely got out of those silver disc carriers.
There is a major industry push on hi-rez this year so if (if!) that gets a measure of mass market traction, who knows ?
