But why are the prices so appealing? Could be because this is allegedly a pirate operation. There's lots of comment on the web including from small record companies who allege this website was/is selling unauthorised copies of their recordings. The link is to a typical web discussion but others are easy to find.

From these discussions, apparently the site is registered in the UK , has a mobile phone number in the USA but actually runs out of Ukraine. Very dodgy.

Some potential users even report that their anti-virus software refuses to load the site. It seems that several UK ISPs block access to it. I have also seen reports of other "web hygiene" applications indicating safety concerns.
