JDaniels Petrouchka recommendation was spot on; great performance and a recording that puts 99% of all the symphonic albums I have in it's shadow.
Le Sacre not on that level of recording, later pressing but Ansermet entertains here as well. No complaints on the Bass Drum but I wonder if some, not having 15" JBLs with 12 LB. motors, aren't confusing deep Tympani tones.
