I keep collecting performances. Four versions on open reel tape alone (Stravinskyi's own, Ansermet*, Monteux, Goosens). Lost count of the ones on records and CDs. One estimable LP is by Oscar Danon and the Royal Philharmonic on Chesky; don't overlook it.
* Avoid the iconic Ansermet on tape (where it's backed by an equally bad-sounding Rite). I've heard a couple of these tapes and both were SERIOUSLY overloaded in the bass, especially the Rite. Boom city.
