It's all about the music, dude! Sit down, relax and listen to some tunes.

Promising Young Pianist...... [yt]

Korean pianist Seong jin Cho performing Chopin's First Concerto.....

This is a piece that usually bores me, but Cho's performance (NHK/Vladimir Fedoseyev) not only kept my attention, I was hearing qualities that reminded me of the short-lived Antonio Barbosa..... The music ebbed, flowed, hushed, and soared..... Cho exuded a wide and deep musical palette that I'd associate with the true greats. The dynamic control and layering that escapes so many performers. The melodic lines is where this performance stood out. It sounded as if I was listening to this Chopin concerto, as the composer intended, for the very first time.

I sampled other works Seong jin Cho performing in his teenage years, including Rachmoninoff 3, Beethoven "Emperor", and Liszt.... (Won the Chopin Competition.) I think this performer is the real deal.

The only other thing I can say is, enjoy!

(The music on this clip starts at 06:25.)
