. . . "it's full of life and vitality, and these Scriabin performances are well worth listeners' attention". Surely you aren't one of those listeners who can't waste your time with any recording that's not 100% THE BEST, are you? IMHO, there are very few recordings that are not worthwhile in some way. And this one, despite my negative observations, is more worthwhile than most.
Regarding my posts about the serialists and Stockhausen, those works are sometimes part of an album that I wish to comment on, as was the case with Vanessa's two Decca releases. As to why I didn't post about Pletnev's recording of Scriabin's Op. 11 Preludes, that's because I no longer have that recording any more. However, I have referenced that recording in past posts as being possibly Pletnev's best recording. As for Lettberg's performance of the set, I said that it MAY be better than Vanessa's, but perhaps not.
C'mon, Roy - I know your time must be valuable, but it's not going to kill you to listen to a couple of tracks, is it? After all, srl1 said he really enjoyed the whole album - even the Stockhausen tracks! And remember, Vanessa has Stockhausen's own imprimatur on performances of his music!
