Actually, I think they had already begun to fade away a bit by the 70s, but classical LP reviews were still everywhere, and classical concert reviews in every newspaper in medium and large cities. The NY Times even had a Sunday column on audiophile equipment written by Hans Fantel, who also reviewed classical music.
