Prince was widely known as a devout Jehovah's Witness who was NOT an abuser of drugs or alcohol. It appears to many that his intense dancing, often done in high heels, took a real toll on his body (he had already had hip replacement a few years back). The pain that goes with all of that, and the need to keep performing in spite of it, is surely what led to the legal prescription of opioids and ultimately the tragic outcome that is so common with these drugs--even among people who have no interest in getting high. You should be reading about this, not writing.

Check out the GEO's link below (Early Prince). That's a 19-year old Prince playing and singing every part on that record. Even if the music isn't "your thing",if the achievement evident in that one track alone doesn't impress you, the problem is not Prince, it's you and your impenetrable prejudice. Or maybe you're just so good that you're justified in throwing rocks at everyone in sight. How many records have you put out again? In any style?
