Bluemooze has asked that I "answer his question". Of course, I will give my response the separate thread it deserves. First, he flatters me in assuming I am even capable of answering his question. His assumption appears to be at least partly based on the premise that I am an anti-baber. But these concepts do not admit such facile solutions. We need to examine the question from a variety of paradigms. The Hobbesians would say that we have no choice but to embrace the babes, because, well, they are babeliscious and fun to embrace. The Thomists would say we need to go beyond merely embracing the babes and understand the true, pure concept of babeism. But the Hegelians would remind us that the babe / anti-babe dialectic must be resolved through a synthesis of opposing concepts. I would go further, but as most of you have probably noticed by now, my reasoning skills are limited and I would probably end up writing a silly, lengthy post that was dangerously off-topic and made no productive contribution to an intelligent discussion about music.
Obviously, I don't want to do that.
