George was good, but very temperamental in his younger days.
I personally know someone that quit mid-rehearsal in the San Jose Symphony,
and probably flipped him off to boot.
Not everyone inspires that level of animosity!
I got to work with him several times, they were good concerts,
and he was relaxed and friendly.
