Long time conductor of the San Jose Symphony and leader of the Bay Area Midsummer Mozart Festival. Saw him perform a few times. When the San Jose Symphony reconstituted itself as the Symphony Silicon Valley a decision was made not to have a permanent conductor - instead each concert is led by a guest conductor, but I did hear Cleve lead a powerful performance of Brahms First with the Symphony Silicon Valley.
