Chris,
What platform are you using to run classicsonlinehd.com? A Mac? I listen via either an iPod Touch 6 (the new one with 1G memory--classicsonlinehd.com needs it for hi-res) or a Samsung Galaxy Tab A with an Oppo HA-2 taking digital out from either and sending it to either my Sennheiser HD-600s or my guilty pleasure Koss PortaPro headphones. On a PC I either listen via the same Sennheisers through a Meridian USB DAC or via the Meridian DACs optical out to my Oppo BDP-105D into my main system.
I like the service. The apps are a little buggy and sometimes do some really funny stuff. They've really improved their iOS and Android apps over the year, but they still are not as solid as Tidal. The two main advantages of classicsonlinehd.com are hi-res and gapless playback (Tidal's fatal flaw that makes many classical releases quite distracting).
They have been adding many more HD releases in the last few months. CPO and Genuin (my favorite obscure, fun music label) are well-represented in HD. It seems that labels like BIS and Oehms just release the lossless version so that you have to buy their product to get HD.
All in all, I really would like them to succeed. Maybe Naxos can keep it going until it becomes at least close to profitable...
