I agree about the Szell/Cleveland Daphnis et Chloe and also La Mer. Both are long time favorites. Another favorite is his Brahms 3rd with the Amsterdam Concertgebouw in very good mono sound from 1953.
However, in general I find the Cleveland Orchestra under Szell, though a marvelously tight ensemble at their best, a bit too precise and restrained. James Levine, who was Szell's assistant, complained that Szell would reject violinists in audition who had a big, rich sound in favor of ones with a "wiry sound who had all their sixteenth notes in place". But it wasn't just the violins. Szell was clearly meticulous and demanding in the sound he wanted from everyone.
