A lot of that three hours of daily music listening could just be passive - I'm guessing here, but folks do have their radios on while driving, sometimes they listen while they're working, studying, etc.
Digital reader sales could have dropped because folks don't have to replace them as frequently as they used to. BTW, how are the sales of hard copy books doing in comparison?
I'm not necessarily arguing with you, but I'm not really convinced that there's cause for optimism either, especially as old folks die off.
