Of course, you're right that Gracenote was a big factor in uncovering the Hatto fraud - however, it is certainly possible that Gracenote itself could be in error on occasion. In fact, I recently was transferring a recording to iTunes, and Gracenote identified it one conducted by Giulini, when it was another conductor (I now forget who it was) entirely.
I haven't heard that Haenchen recording of the Bruckner Seventh, although I do like much of what I've heard from this conductor, including his two separate Ring cycles (one on video and one on SACD), as well as his work with the CPE Bach Chamber Orchestra.
