RE: Belshazzar's Feast

As a young baritone, I studied the solo part for competitions. I even made Roger Wagner listen to me do the one page a cappella aria after one of his concerts. The noive.

I imprinted on the Ormandy (Columbia/CBS/Sony) with Walter Cassel, a great and very under rated Met baritone of the 50's and 60's, so naturally that's my favorite. I think the Temple U. choirs were stretched a little thin. The other recording I own is the one with Terfel on London.

Certainly it's mainly a big choral/orchestral piece and other folks will no doubt chime in on the best choir performance plus sound.
